Career Management Course
Many people I meet tell me they have been in a role for a number of years and have been waiting to be promoted. The blame goes quickly to their HR department or line manager but never once think their career is theirs to manage. The second set of people are the ones that think growth happened in a ladder format, therefore are constant seekers of a promotion; Not realizing there can only be one CEO at a time. The last set of people set are the ones seeking a job for life, like organizations owe them to stay there for 10-15 years until they get the long service award, then complain that the award is little – as if they should be awarded for staying.
